SANBS: Three days worth of blood left nationally

The blood bank’s making a desperate appeal for donations.

The SANBS says most of its regular donors have gone on holiday, which has severely affected blood stocks.
The service’s Khensani Mahlangu says they currently only have about three days of blood supply nationally.
"All I can say is that really your blood saves lives, whatever you donate does save lives."

"We do not take this for granted, if you are able to assist someone It could be someone who is chronically I'll, who goes in for transfusion regularly we will make people happy."
