SANBS appeals for blood donors ahead of Easter break

The blood bank has made a nation-wide call for blood donations - as we head towards the Easter holidays.

It's made a nationwide call for people to come forward and donate blood.
The SA National Blood Service says the supply in KZN is at just 1.9 days compared to the recommended five days.

Sifiso Khoza says they're in desperate need of the universal "Group O blood" type for emergencies and urgent transfusions.
"We would like to collect 4500 units blood. It will help us get through the Easter break and to maintain the momentum," Khoza said.
