Medical Association says it’s appalled by the attack on its chairperson Mvuyisi
Mzukwa, which left him seriously wounded in KZN.
Mzukwa was attacked on the side of the road while he was driving home from King Shaka International Airport, north of Durban, on Saturday.
He was stabbed multiple times in the chest.
The association’s vice-chairperson Edward Ngwenya says metro police found him and helped him get to a hospital, where he remains in ICU.
"We are shocked with what has happened. We find this to be horrendous, heinous to have such happening to a national chairperson."

He says despite being left with severe injuries, Mzukwa is doing well.
Ngenywa believes it was an act of pure criminality.
"I'm in touch with him, I've recently spoke to him, and he is stable and doing well under the circumstances. I've spoken to his family, who are shaken by this."
