SAHRC set to be approached to probe Grosvenor High racism claims
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Department of Education in KwaZulu-Natal says it will approach the South African Human Rights Commission to investigate allegations of racism against the principal of Grosvenor Girls High School in Durban.

MEC Kwazi Mshengu released a report on Monday containing damning findings by an independent panel that probed claims of racial discrimination and financial misconduct at the school on the Bluff.
The panel found that racism there has been normalised and is structural.
It says it found that the principal has not only been behind the discrimination - but helped entrench racism at the school.
Releasing the report in Mayville, Mshengu said they would implement all the recommendations made by the panel and share the report with the SAHRC.
The department is also taking action against the school head, who's been on suspension since March.
