Updated | By Sandile Bhengu
The South African Federation of Trade Unions is calling for a commission of inquiry into Eskom's affairs.

his follows government's withdrawal of a partial exemption granted to the power utility, allowing it to halt disclosing fruitless and wasteful expenditure.
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana told Parliament on Wednesday that the exemption can be re-instated at any time, should government deem it necessary.
But SAFTU's Trevor Shaku says they want it to be permanently scrapped.
"Treasury did not just voluntary cancel the motion. It is that it has been forced out by other organisations which protested the exemption."
