Safety, regulation on agenda at KZN Taxi Lekgotla

KZN Transport MEC Bheki Ntuli will today lead a provincial taxi Lekgotla to discuss the future of the taxi industry.

This is where different stakeholders will discuss the current state of the industry, and ways to shape a way forward.
The parties will also look into submissions from the Metered Taxi Industry, E-hailing Services, and municipality transportation.
The Lekgotla will be held at the Durban Beachfront this morning.
"The provincial Taxi Lekgotla will cover various themes which include unity in leadership, industry regulation, empowerment models, road safety..", MEC Ntuli said
"The provincial government is firmly committed towards building a taxi industry of the future", he said.
