Sadtu welcomes racism probe at Bluff school
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
Teachers' union Sadtu has welcomed the decision by the KZN
Department of Education to launch an investigation into allegations of racism
at Grosvenor Girls' High School on the Bluff.

Pupils are outraged at what they say is discrimination among staff members, alleging some pupils have been called "monkeys".
They had another protest at the school on Tuesday, where Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu had gone personally to hear their concerns.
Sadtu's Nomarashiya Caluza says pupils should be encouraged to speak out.

"It is important that the learners are encouraged that whenever they notice signs of racism they are able to report to their parents and authorities so that it can be dealt with.
"It can't happen that in 2022, we still have learners and people that are still facing racism."
