Teachers union, Sadtu says it has accepted the 285-page report on the 'jobs for cash' scandal released over the weekend.

However, the union's KwaZulu-Natal spokesperson Nomarashiya Caluza believes processes could have been conducted and dealt with better.

''The report presented contains generalisations. There are no specifications as to say indeed a thorough investigation was conducted.

"As the union, I'm saying we are still going to sit down and see our way forward from now. We are happy that the report says the union, Sadtu, as an organisation has not sold posts,'' she said.

Education Minister Angie Motshekga established the task team to investigate the allegations.

The probe found irregularities when it came to the appointment of some teachers in provinces including KZN.

The Basic Education Department says it will be taking legal action against individuals accused of wrongdoing.
