Teachers union Sadtu says its hopes there won't be anymore delays in the trial of slain school principal Nkosinathi Zondi.
Zondi, who was also the union's chairperson of the Mbuso Shabalala Region - was gunned down two years ago outside his home in uMlazi.
His death is thought to be linked to the "jobs for cash" scandal in the province.
South Coast regional education director Mfundi Sibiya, Lindani Mkhize, the principal at Gobhela Primary School, Mhlengi Luthuli, the principal at Bonguzwane High School and Xolani Myeza, a former school principal, are alleged to have conspired and hired a hitman to kill Zondi.
The trial will be heard in the Durban High Court from Monday until the 7th of next month.
"We're just calling for justice to take it's course so that there is closure for the family and the union," she said.
