SADTU urges KZN Education to save feeding scheme employee contracts
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
Teachers Union, SADTU, has appealed to the KZN Education Department to halt its termination of the contracts of some employees at the National School Nutrition Programme.
It's been reported that the department will be letting go of 27 workers.
The union's Nomarashiya Caluza says they are concerned about the move following issues faced by the feeding scheme last year.

Pupils across KZN were left without meals when the province's main supplier failed to deliver food.
"Our learner went for days without a meal because of the carelessness of the department officials and those who are responsible.
"These workers have been working hard and our appeal is for the HOD to withdraw these letters and the MEC must intervene in the administrative affairs of the department."
