Sadtu condemns teachers death threats
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Teachers' union SADTU feels that until better security provisions are put in place, the lives of KZN's teachers will continue to come under threat.

Teachers at Matshitsholo High School in Denny Dalton near Ulundi have been receiving threats in the form of coffins with their names on them. The school performed badly during last year's matric exams. Only four out of 151 candidates passed.
Some teachers are being threatened because they're believed to have blown the whistle on cheating there. The union's Nomarashiya Caluza says the safety of the teachers is vital.
"Those coffins with the names of teachers is uncalled for and as Sadtu we will continue to call for the protection of teachers whether they belong to Sadtu or not. Violence is not allowed," she said.
