SACP considering a break-away from ANC, Cosatu alliance
Updated | By Lucky Khanyile
The SA Communist Party says it will consider a recommendation that it should leave the tripartite alliance.

The Mpumalanga SACP made the call for an exit from the alliance party and to contest elections alone.
The call follows the poor showing by the ANC at the polls last month.
There have also been tensions between the two parties in Inchanga where members from both parties have been killed pre and post-elections.
The SACP national spokesperson Alex Mashilo says a decision will be made at the party's national congress in July next year.
"We have got two discussion papers that the party will be publicly releasing to. The recommendation by the Mpumalanga province for the SACP to stand for elections, will be subject to a discussion document, and the progress," he said.
