SACAA releases report on fatal Ballito aircraft crash
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The South African Civil Aviation Authority has released a preliminary report on last month's aircraft crash in Ballito.

The pilot and passenger, Leon Meiring were both killed when the microlight came down - after taking off from the Ballito Microlight School.
Meiring from Mpumalanga had been on holiday.
The CAA says the pilot and the passenger took off on a 30-minute introductory flight.
It says officials at Ballito Microlights went searching for the aircraft when it didn't return.

It was later found crashed near the Ballito Airfield with both occupants still strapped into their seats.
The CAA says their injuries weren't severe because of the impact.
It's ruled out weather as a factor and says microlight had enough fuel and had been maintained by an approved technician.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
