SAA makes arrangements for passengers affected by Hurricane Irma
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
South African Airways says it's made special travel provisions for its passengers in areas affected by Hurricane Irma.

The storm has claimed at least 14 lives in the Caribbean, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake as it barrels towards Florida.
Air travel for many passengers has been disrupted by the storm - including those who had planned to use the national carrier to return to South Africa.

The airline's Tlali Tlali says they have contingency plans.
"Those passengers who may be travelling out of a specific location in the east coast of the United States in order to connect on South African Airways to fly to Johannesburg, SAA will place a special dispensation in response to this weather condition. They may revive their travel bookings and such a change will not attract any penalty to them," he says.
