SAA to be divided into three units
Updated | By ECR Newswatch, and Jacaranda FM News
South African Airways is going to be split into three entities.
The three units will be domestic, regional and international - with each having its own management.
The national carrier hasn't made a profit in years and has had to be bailed out by government several times.
The news follows the announcement that Eskom will be be unbundled.
Meanwhile, businessman Patrice Motsepe has dismissed claims he wants Eskom to be privatised to benefit his company.
Motsepe was speaking at the Sandton Convention Centre - where he was addressing the allegations.

He says institutions like Eskom are important and have a developmental role to play.
"Our main concern is profitability. It has to be. Our main concern is - how do we make more money for our shareholders. You need institutions like Eskom who will have a developmental role to play and who will have roles to play like making sure that there is affordable electricity for the poor and the unemployed," Motsepe said.
Motsepe is the brother-in-law of both Energy Minister Jeff Radebe and President Cyril Ramaphosa.
