SA Weather Service warns of intense cold front on Thursday
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
The South African Weather Service is once again reminding people to not share stories about weather-related events without verifying the facts.

The weather service says it's been inundated with questions about a video clip on social media claiming that heavy snowfall will hit parts of the country next week.
It says this message is a hoax, which's why it's asking people to please refrain from sharing it.
Senior forecaster Jacqueline Modika says the SA Weather Service is the only authoritative voice on severe warnings.

"However, we would want to acknowledge that we are expecting an intense cold front to reach South Africa by Thursday.
"This is likely to produce snowfalls over the Western Cape high-lying areas as well are the Western and Southern high-lying areas of the Northern Cape.
"This is expected to spread to the Eastern Cape high-lying areas and the Drakensberg."
