SA Weather Service warns of disruptive rains in KZN over Easter

KwaZulu-Natal residents are being urged to brace themselves for another weekend of heavy rainfall with various warnings issued by the South African Weather Service for the province.

The service has issued a yellow level 4 alert for most parts of KZN on Saturday.
It says disruptive rains are expected with a forecast of 80% of heavy downpours across the province.

Residents are advised to remain in their homes as the weather could potentially further damage roads and bridges.
Recent heavy rains have claimed the lives of 395 people.
"There is an 80% chance of showers and thundershowers for the whole province. We also warning for this weekend of an orange five for south-eastern parts of KZN including eThekwini, Ugu districts and some parts of Ixopo and Pietermaritzburg, " says forecaster Wiseman Dlamini.

"The extreme northern parts and western parts we are expecting disruptive rain of yellow level four."
