SA Weather Service warns of more rain in south-eastern KZN

The SA Weather Service says
while it's clearing up in most parts of KZN, the south-eastern regions can
expect more heavy rain.
"With only some rain left over the south-eastern parts, mainly the southern parts of eThekwini and Ugu district municipalities,” says forecaster Ayanda Nsele.
“We are expecting the rains to clear overnight into tomorrow morning. However, we still ave the alert for more flooding that can be expected especially over the south coast such as Margate, Shelly Beach and Port Shepstone areas as well as areas in south of Durban going up to Port Edward this afternoon.“
Nsele says large amounts of rain fell in some areas.

"In the past 24 hours, the highest amount was in Virginia where the was 350 mm of rain and Margate there was 311 mm of rain. Mount Edgcombe has also over 300 mm of rain.”
Meanwhile, KZN Premier Sihle Zikalala will on Tuesday afternoon visit areas that are affected.
He will be meeting with a family in Georgedale that has lost five members.
Authorities say at least 20 people have died in weather related incidents.
