SA reaches 10 million Covid-19 vaccination milestone

The National Department of Health reached a milestone on Thursday evening of having administered more than 10 million Covid-19 vaccines.
The government has ramped up the Covid-19 vaccination campaign to protect citizens against severe diseases.
On Thursday, Cabinet approved the vaccination of those between the ages of 18 and 34 years old from 20 August 2021.

In the last 24 hours, 191 806 vaccines were administered bringing the total number to 10 167 749.
Gauteng is leading with 49 003 vaccines administered by Thursday, followed by Western Cape with 34 954 and Kwa-Zulu Natal, where 27 873 jabs were given.
