SA moving back to lockdown level 3 'simply not true' - Cyril Ramaphosa
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
President Cyril Ramaphosa says South Africa isn't moving back to lockdown level three.
He's been responding to rumours that we'll be returning to a tougher lockdown to stem the spread of Covid-19.
"I don't want people to be alarmed with rumours that we are going into level three.
That is simply not true and I want to ensure everyone if it ever gets there I will be the one to advise the nation, where we are and where we are going to," said Ramaphosa.
He says for now all we are going to do is adhere to the preventative measures.

Ramaphosa's been answering questions during a virtual sitting of the National Council of Provinces.
He says people are still being careless though and it's worrying, especially as we approach the festive period.
"COVID-19 is serious and we all need to adhere to the measures, particularly now as a nation, we move towards that fun period of December where people will let their guard down and that is what is of concern and we are watching that."
