SA Express to remain grounded until adequate safety measures are met
Updated | By Algoa FM
The SA Civil Aviation Authority has grounded SA Express, citing safety concerns.
CAA spokesperson, Simon Segwabe, says the move follows non-compliance and their dissatisfaction with SA Express' safety monitoring systems. He says SA Express has been informed of the corrective action that needs to be taken.
"They [SA Express] submitted corrective actions to us on the 29th of April. We reviewed the report and found the corrective measures inadequate to address the deficiencies," he said.
"We suspended the entire operation of SA Express until such a time when their corrective actions are enough to assure us that their operations are indeed safe," Segwabe said.
