SA Covid-19 recovery rate climbs to 95 %

The number of Covid-19 cases in South Africa now
stands at 1 528 414.

The Department of Health said on Saturday evening that 1 5 41new coronavirus cases had been recorded since its previous report.
The death toll has climbed to 51 261, with 82 new deaths reported.
The majority of those deaths - 42 - were recorded in North West, with 11 in the Western Cape, 9 each in KwaZulu Natal and the Free State, 7 in Gauteng, 3 in Mpumalanga and 1 in the Eastern Cape.
The country's recovery rate now stands at 95%, with just over 24 000 active cases.
145 544 health workers have been vaccinated by Saturday.
