Updated | By Algoa FM news
Rhodes University has suspended lectures and tests following another day of student protests.
Students took to the streets yesterday to protest against rape and sexual assault on campus.
This, after the names of eleven alleged offenders were published on social media, sparking the uproar.
This morning students blockaded Prince Alfred Road leading on to campus.
There have also been reports of students being arrested.
Mako Muzenda is from the student publication, Activate Online.
"Police moved onto campus and from there the situation escalated. They were on campus, firing rubber bullets and pepper spray at students and a member of the Activate team was arrested," she said.
