Rural homes in Harry Gwala District to have electricity
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Around ten thousand households in the Harry Gwala District Municipality will have their power switched on as part of an electrification project.

The KZN Department of Co-operative Governance says the households are in some of the most rural communities.
Officials say the project will also assist local businesses there.
Spokesperson Msawakhe Mayisela says a Community Works Programme will also be launched.
"I think there a few women that wear green overalls who use to clean the streets, cut grass in our towns. The others are also involved in nature conservation and many other things.
"We are spending million of rands to be able to usher in a better life for masses of our people who are currently unemployed," he said.
