Rough sea conditions forecast for KZN coastline
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Rough sea conditions are expected along the KwaZulu-Natal coastline this weekend.
Bathers and fishermen are being urged to be extra cautious, as poor weather and larger sea swells could usher in dangerous conditions when the cold front arrives.
The South African Weather Service's Thandiwe Gumede says cold and wet conditions will be experienced in parts of the province.
"We are expecting very strong winds along the coast accompanied by high waves as high as around between 5 and 6 metres in some places", she said.
"These conditions will begin from the south around Port Edward and proceed along the coast towards the north", Gumede said.
Snowfall is also expected in the Underberg, Mooi River, Rosetta and Impendle areas over the coming days.
