Rolling water interruptions for Durban residents
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Load shedding isn't the only headache for some residents and businesses in Durban.
eThekwini Municipality is reminding us about interruptions to water supply in parts of the city on Wednesday, as crews continue to conduct urgent maintenance at the Wiggins Water Treatment Works.
Umgeni Water's replacing a bulk sales meter, which requires the high-level pump line that feeds the Berea/Ridge areas to be shut off.
According to the municipality, work that began yesterday morning needs to continue today.
The following areas will experience water shortage during the maintenance process: Chesterville Area, Cato Manor Area, Ridge Reservoirs - Musgrave, Greyville, Berea, Morningside.
As well as Overport, North Ridge, Sherwood and South Ridge.
eThekwini says tankers have been dispatched to take water to these areas.
