Robbers hit Gateway store, staff held at gunpoint

A case of armed robbery is being investigated after a store at Gateway Theatre of Shopping in Umhlanga was robbed on Wednesday night.
Police say staff at the food shop were performing their duties when they were accosted by a group of armed men.
They were held up at gunpoint while the robbers took an undisclosed amount of cash, including from the safe.

The men fled the scene in getaway cars.
No one was physically harmed and no arrests have been made.
