'Right interventions' could save KZN industrial giants, says Dube-Ncube
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube believes that - with the right
interventions - some of KZN's industrial giants can bounce back from their
current setbacks.
She says many businesses have been affected by job cuts.
Dube-Ncube's spoke during a media briefing on her first 100 days in office on Tuesday.
She highlighted the jobs lost at Denny's Mushrooms in Shongweni after a fire this year.
"It has affected over 300 workers who are without jobs right now as they continue to refurbish again."

The premier also pointed to Tongaat Hulett entering business rescue to protect the company from liquidation.
She said some 50 000 jobs across its supply chain in the SADC region could be affected if the group isn't stabilised.
"Hopefully with the government working with us, we are able to rescue some of the business operations of Tongaat Hulett."
