Rhodes Park attack: murder, rape accused to be charged
Updated | By News24
Three men accused of killing two men and raping one of their partners were expected to be indicted in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.

They will stand trial in the High Court in Johannesburg.
The three appeared briefly before Magistrate Lucas van der Schyff in the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court today.
Thabo Nkala, Edmor Ndlovu and Mduduzi Mathibela were allegedly part of a 12-man gang that attacked two couples walking in the park in Kensington on the evening of Saturday, October 17, last year.
Sizwe Tyeke, 33, and school teacher Zukisa Kela, 29, were assaulted, tied up, and thrown into the park's lake, where they drowned. One of their partners was raped. The second woman managed to run away.
Today, the three huddled in the dock as they followed proceedings through an interpreter.
The State had expressed confidence in its case because of DNA evidence it had gathered from the three accused.
It was unclear how much progress police had made in finding the other nine suspects.
