Rhodes gets interdict against Rhodes students

Rhodes university has been granted an interdict against students who blocked roads leading to the university.
Some students at the Grahamstown university started protesting on Sunday after the a list of alleged rapists and sexual assaulters who work or study at Rhodes was circulated.
Higher Education Minister Blaze Nzimande reacted to the protests, saying his department is worried about claims by students that allegations of rape are not being handled properly.

He has told the media at Parliament that they have already been in touch with the university and the Department of Justice has also been looped in.
Activists later staged a "naked protest" on campus. Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse them.
The Rhodes SRC says the university has agreed to increase the number of staff in the Harassment Office who deal with cases of sexual abuse.
