Load shedding in eThekwini: Find your revised schedule here
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube and Nushera Soodyal
eThekwini Municipality has released a revised load shedding schedule that will come into effect in exactly a week's time.

Earlier this month, the city's electricity bosses met with Eskom managers and agreed on how to implement the power cuts in the city going forward.
eThekwini has been exempt from rolling blackouts since the floods in April wreaked havoc on the city's electricity infrastructure.
It was to reduce any further risk of damage.

Officials say they were left with no choice but to bring back load shedding to avoid a total collapse of the grid nationally and assist the power utility.
They say under the revised schedule, eThekwini will have loads hedding only if it's being implemented from stage 4 onwards.
The city says certain areas will still be excluded because of highly compromised networks.
