Residents warned about suspects targeting Upper Highway, Durban North
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Police say they’re still searching for a gang of armed robbers who have been terrorising residents in Mhlathuzana and Westville.

Officers say the gang robbed two homes in Mhlathuzana and another in Westville last week. They used an SUV, allegedly stolen in Gauteng last year, to flee the homes.
Police say the vehicle has since been found abandoned in Lamontville, south of Durban.
Blue Security’s Andreas Mathios is urging people to be cautious.
"There's been a number of armed robberies in the Upper Highway area - Cowies Hill, Westville, Pinetown and now in Durban North. We are advising the community to please report any incidents that you may feel uncomfortable with or if you have any suspicious activity on your premises. Rather get an armed response officer to check it out as opposed to you going to investigate the matter yourself," he says.

He says response officers were called to three separate house robberies in Westville within 45 minutes on Wednesday.
