Repairs to giant CBD sinkhole underway - eThekwini
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The eThekwini Municipality says it's working to repair a giant sinkhole in the middle of the Durban CBD.

Teams have had to fix an underground water pipe that burst over the weekend. They're now working on closing the crater on Dr Yusuf Dadoo Street.
Repair crews from the Roads Department have been mending the damaged road and tarring the affected area.
They're hoping to wrap up repairs on Monday.

Video footage taken of Saturday's incident showed water pouring onto roads and pavements from the flooded sinkhole.
The city was forced to close the corners of Dr Yusuf Dadoo, Bertha Mkhize and David Webster streets.
Metro police are diverting traffic and have asked motorists to avoid those roads.
