Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Struggle stalwart and late SACP leader, Chris Hani is being remembered today - 25 years after his assassination.

A wreath laying ceremony has been held in Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, where officials said his house will be turned into a heritage site.
The anti-apartheid activist was assassinated in the driveway of his Dawn Park home, Boksburg, in 1993.
Clive Derby-Lewis and Polish national, Janus Walusz, were convicted of his murder.
Clive Derby-Lewis who orchestrated the murder was sentenced to life in prison and released on medical parole in 2015. Derby-Lewis died after a long battle with lung cancer the following year.
In 2017, the Constitutional Court denied Walusz parole after serving 24 years for the murder. He pulled the trigger.
Meanwhile, the University of Cape Town will be renaming their New Science Lecture Theatre to the Chris Hani Lecture Theatre. The official ceremony will be taking place on the 25 April 2018.
Hani's family, Deputy Minister of Public Works and Deputy Secretary-General of the South African Communist Party Jeremy Cronin will be in attendance.
