A record-breaking 201 107 learners in KwaZulu-Natal will sit for the National Senior Certificate exams.

The exams get underway on Wednesday morning.
Grade 12s and other matric candidates will start writing English Paper amid the latest bout of load shedding.
The first week of the final exams will be written under Stage 2 of the scheduled power cuts, which Eskom's hoping to end on Sunday.
KwaZulu-Natal Education spokesperson Muzi Mahlambi says the MEC will monitor the start of the crucial assessments in Phoenix and KwaMashu.
He says despite the challenges over the past two years, they have confidence in the Class of 2021.
"The trial exams - the results of those exams indicated something that was very much encouraging to us.
"So we are encouraged even when we speak to some of the learners they give us that solace to say they are prepared and looking forward to sit for the final exams.”
