Rape-accused pastor denied bail
A local pastor accused of raping and sexually assaulting four girls from his church in Ntuzuma has beenrefused bail.
The 35-year-old, who can't be named until he enters a plea, was last month arrested on a raft of charges - some of which date back several years.
He launched a formal application for bail - which the State opposed - and judgment was handed down this week.

It's understood that the defence will be lodging an appeal.
"The accused appeared in the Ntuzuma Magistrate's Court where judgement in the bail was handed down. The accused was refused bail. The matter was remanded until the end of January and the accused will remain in custody," spokesperson for the NPA in KZN, Natasha Kara said.
