Ramokgopa: Energy interventions are bearing fruit

Electricity Minister Khosientsho Ramokgopa says there are signs that the energy-saving interventions are working.
It's as the country continues to remain in lower stages of load shedding.
Ramokgopa made the remarks at a media briefing in Pretoria on Sunday.
He gave an update on efforts to resolve the country’s electricity crisis.

Ramokgopa says they have managed to keep the planned power cuts at more comfortable stages- even as demand grows.
"The fact that the month we are sitting with the highest we've had is 30,800 plus megawatts.
Intervention that businesses and industries are making to ensure that we keep it at the lowest, and I think it's important that we acknowledge that and it's not necessarily an act of God."
