Ramaphosa's state capture appearance postponed

President Cyril Ramaphosa will no longer testify at the Zondo Commission into State Capture next week.

Ramaphosa had been due to give evidence in his capacity as president of the country on the 31st of May and 1st of June.
The Presidency says it's agreed to a request from the commission to reschedule the president's appearance to a later date.

"The Presidency can confirm that it has agreed to a request from the Commission of Inquiry into State Capture for President Ramaphosa's scheduled appearance on 31 May and 1 June 2021 to be postponed to a later date.
"The President's office is in communication with the Commission to secure suitable alternative dates for his appearance," the Presidency said in a statement.
