Ramaphosa: Violence during Nehawu strike ‘unacceptable’
President Cyril Ramaphosa says the violence displayed by some healthcare workers taking part in the public sector wage strike is unacceptable.
He's condemned the actions of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers' Union members while answering questions in Parliament on Thursday afternoon.
"During this strike, the process we have seen, many acts that are really concerning where people who were sick and where workers who are in ICU units are being pulled out and that is not acceptable and we should never accept behaviour like that."

Workers are demanding a 10 percent pay hike after rejecting government's three percent increase.
Government was granted an interdict against the nationwide strike, but Nehawu went ahead with it, stating it's lawyers have filed an application for leave to appeal.
Ramaphosa has warned the striking workers that the no work, no pay principle applies.
