Ramaphosa urges more youth participation

President Cyril Ramaphosa has applauded young South Africans for taking part in the 2019 elections.
Ramaphosa made the comment at the National Results Operation Centre in Pretoria at the weekend.
The President says he was thrilled to watch the activity of the country's youth on social media - engaging each other about the elections.

He also congratulated first-time voters for playing their part in the country's democracy.
"We do however need to say - we want that keen interest to keep growing. Many young people are outside the fold of voting activity. We want them to participate much more than those participating now."
