The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Government has praised the IEC for hosting what it's calling successful elections in the province.

COGTA MEC, Nomusa Dube-Ncube says they worked well with the electoral commission to ensure local residents were able to vote in their respective communities.
Dube-Ncube also thanked party leaders for being tolerant of other political views during the campaign period.
"Despite numerous challenges, and glitches - the election showed the strength and resilience of our democracy. From our part in the government, we salute the IEC team which have contributed to the evolution and dynamic growth of the electoral democracy," she said.
In case you missed it - the ANC won the KZN election with a little over 54% of the vote. The IFP will fill the main opposition benches in the Provincial Legislature, with 16% of the vote. The DA garnered just under 14%.
