Ramaphosa was assigned by Cabinet in December 2014 to develop strategies to ensure parastatals contribute towards South Africa's growth and development.

Ramaphosa has become known as President Jacob Zuma’s Mr Fix-it. In the last year he has been given a list of tough issues to find answers to.

The NCOP briefing will serve as an update on some of these issues, including his task to craft turn around strategies for some of the country’s most embattled public enterprises including SAA, Eskom and the Post Office.

Ramaphosa will also fill NCOP members in on progress being made in talks between farmers and farm workers which are aimed at limiting evictions, securing tenure and addressing social ills that farming communities face.
