The report by an independent panel into the docking of a Russian ship at Simon's Town in December should land on the president's desk on Friday.

The panel was tasked with investigating claims by the US ambassador to South Africa, Reuben Brigety, that arms were loaded onto the Lady R.
It was appointed by the President on 28 May and given six weeks to finalise its investigation.

"We will also not get into a discussion with respect to the identities of those who provided evidence or the nature of that evidence."
