Ramaphosa says ANC setbacks are not failures
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa has acknowledged that the party has faced several setbacks and challenges but he insists these should not be interpreted as failures.

"Actually, it is that process of looking at the mirror, seeing a pimple on our forehead or on our cheek and saying I am going to deal with this pimple. Almost 17 years but now we know what we're going to do."
Ramaphosa wrapped up the party's final instalment of the 2019 Election Manifesto review in Alberton yesterday.

He claims there are individuals who are deliberately spreading false information to tarnish the ANC's image. He says though they remain focused.
"Those who do not have setbacks and challenges are those who sit on the sidelines and criticise. Armchair critics are those who have never gotten into the arena where they have to do things for people.
"They sit there, criticise the ANC but when it comes to doing, we are the ones doing things and changing the lives of our people."
