Ramaphosa needs to address state capture report, security concerns - analyst

President Cyril Ramaphosa needs to assure South Africans about their safety when he addresses the nation on Thursday evening.
This is the view of political analyst, Levi Ndou, ahead of Ramaphosa's 6th State of the Nation Address.

Ndou says last month's vandalism of the Constitutional Court, as well as the fire at Parliament and other blazes that have broken out - have raised security concerns.
He says the president will need to speak to these issues tonight.

Ndou also warns that Ramaphosa cannot avoid the state capture report.
"Obviously, as he touches on the strengthening of the institutions of governances, he should then be talking about the measures very lightly that government intends taking on those implicated in serious corrupt activities."
