Ramaphosa denies interfering with Zondo commission report

Cyril Ramaphosa insists the Presidency has not interfered with the work of the
judiciary.
This comes as the Zondo commission finalised plans to hand over its final volume of the state capture report.
"The Presidency rejects claims that the president has in any manner interfered with of the commission or the judiciary as speculated by some opposition parties," says Ramaphosa's spokesperson Vincent Magwenya.
The DA claimed interference on the part of Ramaphosa, following talks between the president and Chief Justice Raymond Zondo.
At the same time, it emerged on Monday there would be a delay in the release of the commission's final report.

"Communication between the chief justice and the president has been over the delays in the delivery of the report and finalising the date for the official handover of the report," says Magwenya.
Meanwhile, legal expert Paul Hoffman says the delay shouldn't be treated as suspicious.
Part 5 and 6 of the report are due to be submitted to Ramaphosa on Wednesday.
"This final report has all the final recommendations summarised and its recommendations in relation to what the ANC should do about the state capture happening on its watch."
