Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Special Investigating Unit's final report into personal protective equipment corruption has been made public after President Cyril Ramaphosa authorised its release.

The unit launched a probe into alleged procurement irregularities at the onset of the Covid-19 crisis and the misuse of funds meant to fight the pandemic.
It's been looking into 5 467 contracts totalling R14.3 billion - awarded to 3 066 service providers.
Investigators say out of the 4 549 contracts finalised, 62 percent were found to be irregular.
The unit says 45 of the matters, with a total contract value of over R2.1 billion have been referred to the Special Tribunal.
The SIU expects to complete the remaining investigations between March and April.
It will then submit a supplementary report to the president.
