Ramaphosa: Attacks on De Ruyter, Buhlungu ‘concerning’

President Cyril
Ramphosa says he's very concerned following attempts on the lives of two
prominent leaders

Eskom's outgoing CEO Andre de Ruyter says he became sick after drinking a cup of coffee - laced with cyanide - last month.
The attack is believed to be linked to his company-wide clampdown on corruption and criminal behaviour.
Over the weekend, the bodyguard of Fort Hare University's vice-chancellor was gunned down in a suspected assassination attempt - allegedly targeting Professor Sakhele Buhlungu.

Ramaphosa spoke in his capacity as ANC leader in Johannesburg on Monday.
"Some of these people have been leading the charge in corruption and you can see that it evokes reaction in some ways, I have no proof of that. That stilll needs to be verified but it is concerning that those who have taken strong positions on issues of intergrity and corruption may well be victims or targeted.
