Ramaphosa’s speech to the nation is expected to focus on his response to the recommendations of the commission of inquiry into state capture.

Saturday was D-day for Ramaphosa to submit his action plan to Parliament on the commission’s recommendations.

Ramaphosa was legally obligated to table former Deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo’s report and his plans within four months of receiving the scathing report into the criminal network which cost the economy hundreds of billions of rands.

“The 76-page document sets out the approach to the commission’s findings and recommendations, the methodology for developing the response plan and the implementation of the response,” read a statement issued by the Presidency on Saturday evening.
