Updated | By Anastasi Mokgobu
President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to provide an update on government’s response to the catastrophic floods in KwaZulu-Natal and parts of the Eastern Cape.

Ramaphosa will address the nation on Monday evening.
The president’s address follows a special cabinet meeting, held on Sunday, to discuss the social and economic impact of the disaster.
The floods have left some 443 people dead, 63 still missing and more than 13 000 households affected.
Ramaphosa visited KZN on Wednesday and gave an assurance that National Treasury would provide relief funding.
An application for R1 billion in funding has been submitted to Treasury and the money is expected this week.
Ramaphosa postponed a working visit to Saudi Arabia to attend to the impact of severe weather events that have affected KZN and the Eastern Cape.
